It's safe to say that Americans love Halloween.  From its origins in England, Ireland and Scotland, the celebration of “All Hallows Eve” was brought over to North America in the  late 1800’s by the Irish and Scots fleeing the potato famine. 

The Martha's Vineyard real estate market continued the trend established at the end of 2025 during the first half of 2026: fewer transactions, but significantly higher dollar volume driven by strength at the luxury end of the market.
