As President Obama concluded his afternoon of golf at Farm Neck, the club was turned over on Monday evening to the 35th Hospice of Martha's Vineyard Summer Soiree. At the Tea Lane Associates table we had lots of fun at the live auction - no winning bids for us, but we definietly increased the sales price on some of the auction items!

Vanessa Williams, the Grammy, Emmy,Tony award nominated superstar who also happens to be a former Miss America will make her debut performance at the Perfroming Arts Center on Martha's Vineyard TONIGHT Saturday July 9th.  Tickets are still available at  http://vineyardbroadway.com  8pm and the High School PAC.

Next Wednesday, July 13th sees the 8th "Whatever the Outcome" event at Flat Point Farm West Tisbury.  But whatever is Whatever the Outcome?

The Vineyard light and topography has attracted artists for generations and we are fortunate to have an abundance of artistic talent here. Summer Sunday evenings on the Vineyard are best spent at one or more of the many Gallery openings of these artists. You can always check the local newpaper listings or notice boards across the Island to find out whats happening in the art scene here. But TONIGHT June 26th is a big one and we are spoiled for choice!

Each Mother’s Day weekend, Featherstone Center for the Arts celebrates the coming of spring by opening their “Art of Flowers” exhibition.  Now in its 20th year, this event kicks off the summer art season in style and is tagged to be their busiest show of the Featherstone calendar.

It's the 5th Annual Pink and Green weekend in Edgartown over the forthcoming weekend! The rotton rainy week here on the Vineyard has everyones fingers crossed for some sunshine for Edgartowns celebration of Spring. Whatever the weather there are many events planned including the Pink & Green Kentucky Derby Party, Mother’s Day Brunches, sales and promotions at many stores as they softly open for the season, and the 4th Annual Pub Crawl. Over a week later and there's still a "16th Annual Martha's Vineyard Film Festival buzz" about town! I keep bumping into people that were there and we are still exchanging experiences, asking questions, and discussing the impact each of the movies we saw had on us!

The 16th annual Martha's Vineyard Film Festival is this coming weekend - March 17th – 20th 2016 and is one of the highlights of the Vineyard’s Spring social calendar. The festival attracts movie buffs from far and wide and guarantees a weekend of entertaining movies, though provoking conversation and great food. Tea Lane Associates have been sponsors of the festival for many years and are proud to sponsor the screening of the 2015 and 2016 Sundance Grand Jury Prize winners for U.S. Documentary, “The Wolfpack” this year. A gripping film that follows a resilient gang of brothers locked away from society in an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
