HAVE A QUESTION?

Have a Question?

As the name suggests this inn and restaurant sits at the western end of Martha’s Vineyard, in the shadow of the famous Gay Head Lighthouse. You might think it's far, but it's so worth the drive, even in the winter and maybe more so when you get to experience the island in it's quiet un-touristy glory.  South Road takes you through Chilmark and as the road gets close to the ocean you are rewarded with beautiful water views and glimpses of maginifcent summer homes that are usually shielded from view by the trees.    Once you get to Aquinnah you realize why you came -  quiet roads, miles of unspoilt beaches and magnificent views like no other on the Vineyard  - its a real feeling of escape from it all.

The fall brings the fruits of our summer labor with closings happening before winter creeps in and people lose momentum.

Tea Lane Associates represented the buyer of this lovely newly built property in Edgartown which closed on October 25th for $5,150,000.  49 Morse Street is a 4,300 square foot home with 4 bedrooms, 5.5 baths and swimming pool. Centrally located on one of Edgartowns most desirable street, the property is situated two blocks from the harbor and a short stroll to town with restaurants, shops and gallerys.  A great sale for Tea Lane in historic Edgartown.

Featherstone Center for the Arts is a cultural mecca for all kinds creative endeavours on Martha's Vineyard.   The mission of Featherstone is to create a community arts space for the Vineyard's year round residents and summer visitors.  Winter workshops, including life drawing and pottery classes, chocolate festivals and various shows give way to kids art camps, adult classes, and the Flea market during the summer months.  With new events being added all the time to the brand new multi million dollar gallery space, pottery studio and arts center.

We found this great guide to eating on the Vineyard this summer.  Check out SERIOUS EATS.

They're a secret for a reason.... but we might tell....

Wednesday night brought the crowds to the MV Performing Arts Center for a one night only performance by talented singer songwriter Aimee Mann. Presented by MVY Radio, and part of the Martha's Vineyard Concert Series, the show was a highly entertaining combination of old songs and new songs, spanning her career which began in the 1980's, as well as couple of collaborations with special guest, Jonathan Coutlon.

The new owners of 3 Sunset Way can look forward to long relaxing summer evenings enjoying the famous Aquinnah sunsets from which their new address was no doubt inspired!

Thursday 5th January until tuesday 11th January 2017 - Island residents that are part of the Excursion or Preferred Program, can book up to 5 ferry reservations for summer travel. Some generous home owners, can offer up to three of these to be transferred, and some do so as part of their rental. But if not, dont worry, the the advance reservation program for visitors opens up on the 12th January if you are booking online or by mail and on the 19th January if you want to book in person or by phone.

When I tell people where I live, the mere mention of Martha’s Vineyard provokes wide eyed "ooooo's" and "aaahhh's" and comments like  “have you met .... so and so ..." insert famous person e.g. "James Taylor", "Larry David" , or "what's his name? ... the guy from Cheers!"
