Katama comes from a Wampanoag word meaning

The unique architecture of the main house is beautifully balanced with the well designed landscaping which has been designed and maintained by one of the family members. Upon entering the house the views expand before you going up and down Katama Bay. The galley kitchen is located to the left of the inviting foyer. To the right is a small den/study offering space to get some work done if necessary and not get distracted by the fabulous views. Directly in front on the water side is the living room with fireplace in front of the kitchen and the dining room to the right. Ceiling to floor windows in both these rooms frame the gardens, the dock and waterviews.
